Question: What are Signature Ads?

Answer: If you've ever received an email from someone, you've probably noticed some text below their name that might have a link to their website, or contain their contact information etc. That is a signature ad or "sig file" as many call it. You'll also notice that in forums, at the bottom of most user's posts are usually an advertisement of sort for their website. That is also known as a sig file.

These sig files are AUTOMATICALLY INSERTED into every outgoing email or at the bottom of every forum post, from those people.

If you have Yahoo, MSN, your own domain, or even AOL, then feel free to add these signatures to the bottoms of all of your outgoing emails. Just go to your email preferences TAB and copy & paste these signatures to your emails and watch your sales skyrocket!

Literally anyone can start a blog for free by visiting blogger.com, which is owned by Google, or by downloading Word Press, which is installed on your own server. Both are good systems. Word Press is slightly better, but you need to be a little more technical to install it on your own server. If you choose Blogger, you literally need to know nothing about websites. It's a matter of clicking a few buttons and you can instantly have your very own blog, where you can... guess what? Promote your affiliate links and make money!

Ezine Ads

An Ezine is essential an online magazine that is delivered in an electronic form. An online magazine may be online-only, or may be the online version of an otherwise print-published magazine. Today, most online magazines are Internet websites.

An online magazine that caters to a niche or special interest subject matter, i.e. a zine, is referred to as an ezine (usually pronounced "ee-zeen"). An ezine that appears on the World Wide Web is called a webzine, although webzine may also refer to all online magazines.

A top sponsor ad is an advertisement that is placed at the very top of an email sent out from an ezine. These types of ads are the very first thing seen by the reader of the email, and as such, are the BEST place for your ad to be positioned.

If I were to advertise in an ezine, the ONLY way I would do so is either using a top sponsored ad or doing a solo mailing. Solo mailings cost more, and will give you a higher response rate, but with that said... Top sponsored ads cost less, yet still work well if done correctly.

If you want to start slow, to test a particular ezine's responsiveness, you might try a top sponsored ad first.

Top sponsored ads by definition must be small (usually not to exceed just a few short punchy lines of text). Solo ads may sometimes be a little longer.
